Who am I?
I am a qualified social worker, with over twelve
years practical experience of working with people; helping
them to achieve change. We all face change daily, but
the biggest and potentially most exciting challenge
is achieving change in ourselves. As well as being a qualified
Hypnotherapist, I have been professionally trained
in the use of cognitive-behavioural techniques.
My commitment to hypnotherapy comes from using it
myself. I have consulted other Hypnotherapists and
use self-hypnosis regularly. Jenny,
who admits to being sceptical initially, used self-hypnosis
to end chronic sleep disturbance, and to feel relaxed
and calm about dental appointments and treatment. I
was so impressed with the results for myself that
I wanted to help others achieve similar benefits. I
believe everyone can change themselves, if they wish
to. Many people fear change, yet it is a necessary part
of life that can be exciting and rewarding. This is
especially so if we take control and embrace it, using
it to achieve our own positive goals.
I would like to help you to achieve your aims, and
be what you want to be, to:
- Become a healthy, non-smoker;
- Become a healthier eater;
- Be more relaxed and enjoy better quality sleep;
- Be more calm, confident and competent in all situations;
- Learn faster and more effectively;
- Control pain; healing and recovering from illness
or injury faster;
- Have a wonderfully natural and healthy pregnancy
and childbirth;
- Be what you wish to be and achieve your goals!
- And so much more !
Why hypnotherapy?
Because it is one of the oldest, simplest and most
effective tools available to help people who want to
change their lives; one of the most powerful tools to
help alter unwanted behaviour quickly, or to discover
the roots of a problem. In essence, because it works!
What is hypnosis like? Hypnosis is an individual experience.
However, most people say that it is pleasant and enjoyable;
feeling calm, comfortable and relaxed. You are always
in control and fully aware of what is happening. You
can hear everything I say, and cannot be made to do
anything that you do not want to. I explain everything
that I am doing and design each piece of work especially
for you. When appropriate, I record the session, and
you have the only copy to use at home to reinforce the
process.
How does hypnosis work?
Most behaviour is learned. Whilst in hypnosis you are
offered positive suggestions, to re-programme previous
learning by your subconscious so that, if you wish,
you can behave and think more constructively. Because
you are in control, you can accept or reject these suggestions
as you wish.
What do I do next?
You could look at my website (www.deeperhypnosis.com),
or telephone or e-mail me to ask further questions.
Best of all, why not arrange a free consultation. Then
you can meet me to discuss how you would like
me to help you and decide if I am right for you. There
is no obligation to make a further appointment; I will
contact you again only if you ask me to.
