I am an experienced Hypnotherapist, NLP Psychotherapist and Gentle Birth Specialist and have run a busy practice since 1997. My clinics are located in Highbury & Islington and Crouch End. I offer a unique perspective to you as a prospective client in that I bring a wealth of medical and complementary health experience to the therapy session. My special interests are Stress & stress related illnesses, Smoking cessation, Anxiety disorders, Panic attacks, Irritable bowel syndrome (I.B.S) & Weight management, although I have dealt with many other issues successfully (see list below). In my work have found that most problems are not simple to deal with and that one approach does not fit all. Therefore I supplement my hypnotherapy with other psychotherapeutic and energetic approaches such as NLP, Symbolic Modelling, EMDR, EFT and Matrix Reimprinting.
I am also extremely passionate about women's health and wellbeing. Having worked as a midwife I have assisted many women safely through their pregnancies and birth. As a Gentle Birth Specialist my primary focus is to prepare pregnant mums for a good birth. To do this I use body therapies such as Stephenson's Creative Healing massage and Reflexology in conjunction with Hypnosis. This method has been tried and tested with hundreds of women and is extremely effective. In special circumstances I am available to attend births. When I have done so, mothers and partners have found that my being there has been extremely beneficial to their birth experience. I have also dealt successfully with helping women conceive and dealing other female disorders.
I truly believe that we have all the resources within ourselves to get better. However most importantly I believe for good mental and physical health we need to be “mindful” of our minds and bodies. During a session we will work together to help you begin to create that future that you wish for and where possibilities are endless. A part of you obviously believes that this is possible for you wouldn't be contemplating this journey in your life now.
