The Still Point - Enabling people to do things better.
As human beings, we all have basic needs. It is when these needs cannot be met or are blocked in some way, that we may seek help.
At The Still Point, we use highly effective combinations of coaching, counselling, consultancy, training, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and NLP to provide tools and understanding, enabling people to do things better. Whether in the work place - with groups, teams or individuals - or in private sessions for couples, families and individuals, we work to understand the causes of present discontent and to provide solutions quickly and effectively. Tim uses an integrative approach in all disciplines to enable clients to overcome barriers to self-fulfilment. Barriers may be present as anxiety, stress, depression, sleep disorders, confidence/self esteem difficulties, emotional, family and relationship problems, physical or emotional trauma, problems relating to personal identity, or simply not knowing how to achieve particular goals. Often, clients want help in dealing with unwanted feelings of fear, confusion, anger, inadequacy, grief, panic, guilt, shame, inferiority, loss, separation, rejection, dependency or frustration. Mistaken beliefs, bereavement, assertiveness, bullying, children / adolescent problems and feelings of being "stuck" are common. Hypnotherapy is also effective for identifying and resolving emotional causes for physical symptoms and dis-ease such as; obsessive-compulsive disorders, phobias, allergies, IBS, muscular pain, kidney stones, habit control, addictions, weight reduction and eating disorders. Many clients have benefited from the use of transactional hypnoanalysis and conference room techniques to address deep-seated emotional conflicts and personality / motivation problems. Individuals and organisations can benefit from coaching approaches that focus on the gap between potential and performance. The gap is usually filled with interference. This can be identified and cleared away. All client relationships are founded in trust and commitment and Tim assumes that clients are fundamentally creative, resourceful and whole, he addresses the client's whole life, follows the client's agenda and creates an agreed alliance, building on the clients' strengths and insights about themselves. There is an expectancy of transformational change with clear attainable goals. The work undertaken is the choice and responsibility of the client, understanding that resistance and defences are an integral part of the process. Tim trained with the School of Analytical and Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (SACH) and now provides Diploma and Advanced courses under The Still Point banner. He has also trained with Penny Parks (Parks Inner Child Therapy), Gil Boyne, Anita Hall (Professional People Development & Inspirational Change), Bill Webster (bereavement), Julia Rai (NLP Practitioner), John Howard (Advanced Hypnohealing) and David Quigley (Alchemical Hypnotherapy Institute), Matrix (Brief Therapy) and Cruse (bereavement and supervision) and provides services and workshops including supervision for individuals and organisations across the UK and Eire.
