The Hypnotherapy Association was formed in November 1997 as a non-profit making organisation aimed at representing all professional hypnotherapists in practice. We are unique in that we are completely independent of all training organisations or school registers.
When you join us, you will find both professional support and academic fulfilment in our Regional Meetings, Workshops and our in-house journal The Hypnotherapist, as well as financial benefit through our online UK Register, the Freephone client Referrals Service, the Corporate adverts in Yellow Pages, and articles in newspapers and magazines.
The Hypnotherapy Association website receives many thousands of visitors each month, whether or not you have a web presence of your own, you will benefit from this exposure because the details of your name, telephone number, and if you have them, your email address and website, will be entered onto the database. The website is updated on a daily basis.
The Association holds a 3 day weekend Conference each year with a variety of speakers. All members are invited to attend. In all you should find it a very profitable experience, which will broaden your perspective, increase your knowledge and enable you to meet new friends and colleagues.
UK Hypnotherapy Register

UK Hypnotherapy Register Referrals & Media Office
The Associations Office operates a Client Referral Freephone service through which prospective clients can obtain a printed list of their local therapists post-free. This is based on national Yellow Pages advertising in every directory throughout the UK, plus articles and features placed by the HA-UKHR Press and Media Office in national magazines and newspapers featuring hypnotherapy. These articles also usually carry our Freephone number.
The client referral service costs £75 per year (level 1). For an additional £25 per year (level 2) you can include a personal message on your letter-head to prospective clients. This must be limited to one side of A4 paper and be in black and white. (Whenever possible please supply this by email attachment or on a 3.5 inch floppy using Microsoft Word compatible software or as an HTML file). This service is available to you only after you have gained your Licentiate or Full Member Grade.
