July 2017 Workshop

July 2017 Workshop

The Hypnotherapy Association Annual Summer Confernce and Workshops

The annual summer conference/workshops were held on Saturday the 1st July at the Union Jack Club, adjacent to Waterloo rail and underground station.

There were four speakers booked but unfortunately Tara Economakis couldn't present due to illness; David Samson kindly stepped in and presented on her behalf.

The workshops itinerary was,

Hypnosis for Pain Control and for Healing Addiction, presented by George Dimitrov

The Havening Technique, presented by Louise Baker and Louise Carmi

 Emetophobia, presented by David Samson

Misophonia, presented by David Samson on behalf of Tara Economakis

Although it was disappointing that Tara could not be there, a good day was had by everyone.

We did have a little bit of a problem with hearing the speakers from the back and it was tempting to have a Monty Python moment. There was also an issue with the screen resolution from such a distance but we think that we have solved both problems by purchasing an amplifier, with wireless lapel michrophone and a high resolution mini projector. One of our members, present at the conference, Ms Irene Loudon, kindly gave us the cost of buying both. It was unexpected and very generous of her to make such a contribution.

Next year's conference will be held at the same venue and will take place on Saturday the 28th April 2018. If you would like to come along for a great day and bring your friends, please book early. The club also has very good overnight accomodation available at very reasobale prices but the rooms tend to go very quickly. It is however possible to book the rooms months in advance.
